Events in history

My system will only show history for events that have a rule set for that activity. Is there a way to show when a door is closed or opened without setting up a rule. I don't want notifications or emails, I just want to be able to look at the history. Thanks.

Tim - The only history that your MyQ account will show is based on the rules you have set up on account. There is not a way to set it up without receiving the notifications.

Is there a way to request that as a feature? I have rules set up for times of the day I don't expect it to be used and want the immediate alert but it would be really helpful to have a full history regardless of my rules as Tim suggested. Alternatively is there a way to change the email on the account so I can send all of the rules for emails to a different email account that I don't care about?

Matt - I can absolutely submit the idea. As far as another email account, there's no way to change the email account just for the notifications. You would need to change the email that the MyQ account is set up on. In order to do that, you would have to delete the account and recreate it and added your opener and notifications back to the new account.

As a workaround, you could set up a filter/rule on your email account to delete or archive notifications from MyQ that pertain to a rule set up in MyQ that notifies you of every open and close. Then you would have the history in the event log without the clogged inbox.

That's what I ended up doing. It's just unfortunate that the Wink interface provides a better interface than the native MyQ apps.

Hello - I know this is opening an older thread, but it's absolutely crazy that the app/web interface doesn't keep a full record of every open and close regardless of alert settings.  Please fix this!

A solution is to setup alerts for all events but turn off notifications on your phone for that app. This will record all events into the history, but not notify you through the phone.
