Error processing request (217) garage door opener

I have 2 garage door openers that are both connected to my wifi and internet.

One has been connected to MyQ before, but I had to delete the place it was in. This is the one that now gives me a Error processing request (217) message when I attempt to use its MyQ serial number to add a new place and device. Apparently this opener is still connected to my account somehow, because I see the log of activity for it when it opens and closes.

The other opener gives me a message "The Hub could not be added" when I attempt to create a place using its MyQ serial number. This one has never been connected to my account, but I would like it to be.
