myq door sensor will not pair with the hub, nothing works. I've tried the following:
-changed battery of the sensor
-reset the hub to factory defaults
-tried pairing from the app
When I press the test button on the sensor, the led on the sensor flashes briefly correctly, but the hub doesn't receive anything. Any suggestions how I may resolve the issue with the sensor or hub?
Instructions to program the door sensor:
1.Follow the steps while using the MyQ Home Control app, or...
2.Press and release BUTTON 1 on the Wi-Fi hub. Yellow LED will turn on solid
3.Press and release the Test button on the door sensor until the Wi-Fi hub beeps and the light flashes
4.The yellow LED on the Wi-Fi hub will turn off
If these steps don't work, please send me another note and we'll get this figured out. Thanks, Chuck

I would clear the memory channels on the Hub, that can be done by:
Clear button #1 and #2
1.Press and hold button #1, a yellow LED light will turn on, hold the button until the yellow LED goes out.
2.Press and hold button #2, a yellow LED light will turn on, hold the button until the yellow LED goes out.
(this will not interfere with the connection of the Hub to your Wi-Fi network)
Then I would try to connect the garage door opener to the MyQ account.
a few things to remember: ensure that the sensor needs to be placed top most section on a sectional garage door; the sensor needs an obstructed line of sight to the Hub and not be obstructed in any way; the garage doors need to be closed when pairing the garage door opener to the hub.
Once you have cleared the button, try to add the opener(s)
To add a device using the MyQ Home control app
1.Log into your MyQ account.
2.Tap the + in upper right corner.
3.Tap the Device/Hub to add the MyQ device to.
4.Tap the + in upper right corner.
5.Select the type of device you want to add. (garage door opener)
6. Locate the test button on the door sensor and press Next. The test button is the 3 raised dots on the front of the door sensor.
7.Press and release the test button on the door sensor. The Smart Garage Hub will beep and flash, if it doesn't troubleshoot the door sensor. How to test the door sensor
8.Tap (tap to select) and select the Brand/Model of your garage door opener. If prompted, choose the color of your learn/program button.
10.Read the warning and click Next.
11.Press and release the program/learn button on your garage door opener motor head.
12.Tap Pair in the app. This will cause your garage door opener to move.
13.When the opener is programmed, you will be prompted to name the opener in the app and then press Submit (upper right).
14.Mount the Smart Garage Hub and tap the back arrow in the app.
15.Tap the garage door in the app to activate the door.
The issue seemed to be that the settings were screwed up (which I knew), but when I tried to factory reset it, the instructions I found online weren't working. This meant I kept getting screwed up at the point in the setup where I had to pair the door sensor with the hub. I just couldn't get the beep, and the setup would fail!
So here's what I did and what worked for me. Hopefully it works for you too:
1. Power cycle the hub
2. Get your hub to blink blue
3. Go to Settings on your phone and then wifi, find the “myq-nnn” network and select it
4.Go to setup.myqdevice.com (if on iPhone go to Safari if on Android go to Chrome)
5. Press start
6. This was the weird one, but the rep told me to set the Hub up as the Internet Gateway, not the MyQ Smart Garage Hub as I would have expected.
7. Go through prompts
8. Look at the hub and check to see if you have a solid green light
10 .Go to MyQ app and add serial number
11. Name hub and name door
