Does the B970 still need a MyQ Hub to integrate with Apple Homekit?

I have successfully installed and setup my Chamberlain B970 opener.  It works via the MyQ app on my iPhone but it is not showing up in my Home app.  In the MyQ app, my Apple Home shows up under the "Homekit Homes" section so there is some association between the two.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Paul, thanks for providing this information. The only way the opener will appear into the Apple Home Kit app is if the opener is connected through the MyQ Home Bridge.

The B970 has a built in internet gateway and I suspect that is how the opener is connected to MyQ, but the built in internet gateway cannot integrate with HomeKit without the MyQ Home Bridge. (You will need the MyQ Home Bridge to use HomeKit.)

What you're seeing are windows/controls that would be used if you were using a MyQ Home Bridge to connect. Clicking on the them or trying to use those app controls will not allow you to connect to HomeKit.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks, Chuck
