Cory Sorice, VP of Marketing, please respond regarding scheduling and HomeKit

I hope this message makes its way to Cory Sorice, VP of Marketing of connected products for Chamberlain.

A couple key questions that we need answers on. First and foremost, personally I need more detail on the recent announcement that scheduling to close is being disabled. What exactly is the problem? I am concerned that if there is a low battery in the sensor it may report incorrect state in any situation, not just on schedule to close. What specifically happens in the scheduling scenario that makes it unreliable? Why would that not impact other usage? The scenario I see as potentially problematic is if I am away and check my app. How can I be assured the state being reported is reliable? If scheduling doesn't know the state then how can a manual check of that state be reliable?

Second, let's cut the BS and give us an actual update on HomeKit. You personally promised to deliver this in 2015. Chamberlain as a company has made numerous promises over the past two years. They and you have promised it would be delivered via a free firmware update to existing users. We can't get any info on this board. We can't get any info form technical support. You have been featured on stage by Apple multiple times as a HomeKit partner yet we've seen and heard nothing lately from Chamberlain. Will we ever see a HomeKit upgrade as promised by you? I just want a yes or no at this point.

Thanks.

Any response from Mr. Sorice? Or perhaps his boss?

I can tell you why scheduled close is being disabled--at the scheduled time, it OPENED my garage door. It's buggy and turning it off is better than randomly opening people's garage doors.

Another week and still no response. Cory Sorice, this is your fault. You should be held accountable by your employer. You should also have the common courtesy to provide an update to customers who gave you money for a feature you explicitly promised to deliver 18 months ago.

Me. Sorice, it's now been a month and you've not responded. Do you not stand by your promises? Should we not trust what you say you will deliver? Have the common courtesy to accept responsibility, address the angry mob, and give us an honest response. No more hiding behind your minions. No more being a coward.

I've created a Google Group to share evidence from Chamberlain regarding their promises for HomeKit support.  Please contribute as this will support potential litigation in the near future if Chamberlain doesn't make this right.

I think it's funny how they have gone completely radio silent on the issue
