I got your email that I could connect my Nest to my garage door to tell me if I forgot to close my door. I was very exited. My excitement was tranferred to anger when I saw you wanted to charge me for this functionality. I was also found for the first time that I could also use IFTTT and my Google mini but again I need to anti up more money. I recently added home assistants at my elderly parents home and was considering upgrading their garage door opener. I'll look to other providers. Any chance you"ll rethink charging to connect to essential services? Are you also going to charge for Siri integration.

If you search the forum you will find that:

* People have been asking for integration for many years
* After many years we finally got integration
* However, there is a fee associated with it
* Integration doesn't allow to open the door
* I am not sure if the integration even has triggers to report status changes

I for one refuse to pay after having paid a good amount for a 'portal' device that is supposed to allow integration. None of my many other home automation devices requires a monthly/yearly charge. I definitely would look for another solution.
