Home app works good. However, Siri only can get the correct status of an opened or closed garage door, not an opening or closing garage door. It will report wrong status of your garage door or tell you no response.
To solve this, Chamberlain, your engineers not your customers should contact Apple MFI program support and get some help or support. It is free. Or, read the HomeKit documents again and find a way let siri wait for the opening or closing.
I don't know why Chamberlain's customer support keep asking customers to contact Apple. It is your lazy and unexperienced engineers' fault not customers'.
My wife said, don't believe a bunch guys who use to make low tech mechanic garage door openers can suddenly make some perfect high tech software based products. So I guess our customers' fault is expecting too much from Chamberlain. Come on, it is just a garage door opener company, right?
I guess the problem of Chamberlain MyQ Garage Home Bridge is the delay or status report to the HomeKit protocol. Garage door opener is different from the regular door lock. It will take a very long period of time to finish the open or close action unlike door lock only needs several seconds. So those lazy poor bastards behind this product either didn't think about using Siri when developing or don't know how to let Siri wait. Maybe they designed a product in a totally wrong work flow.
The result is when people ask Siri to open the garage door, Siri finds Home Bridge in HomeKit api and send the open command (so your door actually will open or close). Then, Siri either waited too long to get a result from Chamberlainthe Home Bridge (time out, tells you no response) or the Home Bridge didn't send the updated or correct status to HomeKit (no response or wrong close/open status).
Why ask customers to contact Apple regarding Siri issue?

I'm not sure exactly which thing I did solved the problem, but here's what I did.
1. Made sure my AppleTV was using the same network (i.e. the same router-same one since I have two) that the MyQ Home Bridge is setup to use.
2. Updated AppleTV to the latest tvOS version. It was one version old. BTW, this new version is new as of just a couple days ago, so maybe Apple has implemented a fix? Sorry, I forgot to test after this step. My bad.
3. Cycled the power on the MyQ Home Bridge. It's LED was flashing before I did this. After a recycle of the power, the LED is now constantly on. Keep in mind the bridge was talking okay to the Chamberlain app on my iPhone before this, so this might not be related to the fix, but maybe recycling the power after updating the AppleTV (and re-booting it) may have done the trick. I suspect the bridge should also be powered on after the AppleTV is powered on. i.e. Maybe after a whole house power failure, the AppleTV may not see the bridge soon enough. Just guessing here, of course.
4. Changed settings, randomly, in the Chamberlain app on my iPhone, then changed them back and saved settings.
5. Went to check settings in the Home app on my iPhone. Upon starting the Home app, it gave me a message that said "Updating." I don't know what it was updating, but after that message went away, everything started working again.
So persevere, folks, keep trying, you can get there!

I am having a similar issue. It has been going on for weeks. To be quiet honest for me to wait two years for this device to get released only to find out that the product does not work as intended due to possibly rushing a launch is very irritating to say the least.
I have to constantly reset my devices for the homekit to know what status my garage is in. It will work for a day or two then just stop and either display an error or display the incorrect status of my garage door.
The biggest issue I have at this point is one day I had to leave work and drive 45 minutes home to close my garage that I had feared the kids left open because the app stated the garage was open for an hour. I get all the way home to realize it is closed. So do I need to purchase a camera in my garage to confirm the accuracy of chamberlain.

Sure if there is a solution, I would love an email, however if they are going to email me to only tell me they are working on it then lets save the frustration for both of us.
I also missed out on getting mine for free because I don't check the forum on a regular basis which is also very upsetting as well. Lots of let downs from Chamberlain lately.

It may be my only option at this point. I was going to put my MYQ up for sale but I feel bad selling it to someone else. I would just love a full refund as nothing has functioned as promised so I can just utilize an entirely different solution at this point. However I have hung on so long already I am willing to hang on a little longer.

Hello Lauren,
No I do not use an Arris router. I am using a netgear nighthawk ac1900.
This morning I completed the steps that Roger Owens suggested and did notice that my apple tv was on 5ghz network. I believe the myq only connects to 2.4. So in turn I restarted everything and changed the band that my apple tv was on. As far as updating my apple tv it is set to auto update so nothing needed there. I will give this a go and report back if it stops working anytime today.

So after lots of struggles this weekend I want to provide an update to what I have been dealing with, in hopes that this may help the tech team.
So let me begin by stating I did the recommended steps above provided by Roger. I also swapped the battery out of the sensor that attaches to the actual door. ( This battery swap was a disaster, as it removed the entire unit from the app and homekit. I had to rebind everything as if it were brand new.
Also I want to mention that I do not use Siri at all. I only open the home app or the MYQ app, or the original clicker in the car.
What I have noticed is when using homekit only I did not notice any issues. However once I used the original clicker/opener. It caused confusion for the app and homekit. The app and homekit would not register any movement however I clearly opened the garage. This would then cause both apps to state the garage is closed when in fact it is open. In turn this would create a "no response" error until I physically restart the devices.

MyQ Community Members, while Siri continues to work with MyQ-enabled devices using MyQ Home Bridge, we understand some of you are experiencing issues.
We are working to resolve any error, however, we have not yet been able to replicate the problem. If you are willing to have a technical expert reach out to you, please reply here and we will make the connection.
We’ll be posting updates on this thread as soon as we have more information. Thank you for your patience.

Nonetheless, I have a problem now where the garage door sends notifications to my iPhone stating that the door has been opened and the door has been closed, and it has been doing this for weeks. The door never was physically opened, there is some sort of confusion as to the state of the door, and when you look at the Home app the door reports as being open when it is physically closed. I thought to then press the button to make it physically open, hoping that would clear the confusion, but it didn't work.
Is there any solution? Knowing Chamberlain, something tells me their "solution" will be for me to turn off this notification which is a valuable feature.

Sounds like your engineers need to contact Apple for some development support.

Other seemingly thoughtful but utter gibberish answers that Chamberlain trains their people to say include that they need a "comprehensive" description, even of the most elementary problems, simply to put the ball back into the customer's court and pray he doesn't bother to waste more of his own time replying. These tactics of giving the customer useless busywork are well-known, but Chamberlain thinks they are being slick and clever.

Anyway, if Chamberlain cared, they would ask specific, pointed questions designed to isolate and diagnose the problem rather than wasting more of their customers' time with overly-broad replies.
To this day, when I go to the Home app, the door merely reports the status as "updating" for several minutes, not allowing me to send it any commands. None of my other devices need to update for minutes, they're all instantaneous.
