I have a Chamberlain MyQ Internet gateway (came with my MyQ GDO that I bought a couple years ago) and a Liftmaster 823LM remote light switch (installed last weekend) and it integrated just fine.

I have a similar issue.  I have a Chamberlain internet gateway controlling my garage doors and another switch.  I recently purchased a myQ Liftmaster 825LM, which I was told would integrate, but it will not sync with my app when I add it as a device.

Jed, did you ever get the Liftmaster 825LM to work with your Chamberlain MyQ?  I was about to buy a 825LM but will avoid it if I can't get it to work.

Yes.  The unit I had was defective.  They sent out a replacement which has worked great.

I've had a time or two when mine would not respond to the Schedule, but otherwise the 825LM's work just fine with the MyQ hub.  Never an issue using the app to directly turn on/off the switch.
