I had the same problem Bill. I solved it by uninstalling the MyQ app from my Android smart phone, then connecting to the MyQ Smart Garage Hub using the device serial number and www.MyQdevice.setup which finally allowed me to enter my wireless network name and password. After that, I reinstalled the MyQ app from google play store and was able to proceed with the rest of the setup.
Is there a solution to this? I have reset the device several times now and each time it successfully connects to my Wi-Fi as I can see it in the router’s dhcp table. I have deleted and re-installed the smart phone app repeatedly as well.
