Can't pair MyQ with Chamberlain PowerLift Plus

Today I bought and installed a new Chamberlain PowerLift Plus garage door opener specifically to get it working with the MyQ bridge I recently purchased. But no matter what I do I can't get the two to pair.

MyQ Bridge is successfully on the network and has picked up the door sensor just fine.
However, no matter what I do, it won't pair with the PowerLift Plus

Here is my steps:
  1. I go into the app and ask it to setup a new Garage Door opener.
  2. I select that I am using a Chamberlain Garage Door
  3. I tell it that it has a yellow "Learn" button
  4. When prompted I press the yellow button and wait.
  5. After about 10 minutes it says it cannot pair.
I have also tried selecting "other" as a brand and it still won't work.

What else can I try here?

Is it model C610C?  If so, I read somewhere that it doesn't have built-in wifi capability and you have to buy a MyQ bridge to get it to talk to the hub.  I'll be following this issue as I have that model garage opener and MyQ garage hub too but haven't tried to install it yet.

Hi Julian,

We wanted to give you an update. We are checking on this specific model, however because it is not a US model, there is a chance this might not work with myQ. We are waiting on our team in Australia to confirm. Thank you for your patience.

Hi Julian

The CS100EVO will not pair to the US MyQ bridge as they operate on different frequencies.

Very confused here. According to the AU site they don't even sell a bridge?

I spent $400 buying a Chamberlain Garage door SPECIFICALLY to use my My Q bridge which when purchased said it works with most garage door openers. I checked the manual which referred to the "yellow" button. I thought it a VERY safe assumption then that the Chamberlain My Q would work with a Chamberlain door opener...especially one with the yellow button.. Now I discover I have spent this money for no reason and replaced a perf3ectly good garage door with a new one that serves no additional purpose. :(

Is there no way at all to buy an Australian My Q bridge if they do indeed work differently????

There is no way to get it to work.

The US MYQ bridge is for the US products. It is not available to buy in Australia. I get that the compatibility on the US website can be misleading stating that it is compatible with Chamberlain products with the yellow button. The Chamberlain US Website needs to be updated to reflect that the products may not work on products in other regions. Chamberlain AUS website has its own MYQ products.

The bottom line is that the two devices operate on two different frequencies. The US frequency is has been allocated to other uses by the ACMA and therefore the MYQ bridge cannot be used in Australia.
