Cant connect home bridge

I just got my Home Bridge to replace the gateway that originally came with my opener and I cannot get it to work. The quick start guide is abysmal, at first I tried just adding the bridge by using the home app on my phone, that got it into HomeKit but I couldn't perform any functions. Removed it from home, reset the bridge by holding the gear button. This attempt I configured the wifi manually then opened the chamberlain app and attempted to add the gateway there, I can add the gateway but when I attempt to add the garage door it tells me to press the learn button which I do and within seconds I get the lights on the opener to flash and I hear the click which should mean its learned but the app continues to say waiting for device and ultimately times out.  How do I get this thing setup?!

WySSOne, here are the instructions for setting up the MyQ Home Bridge when the first attempt doesn't work: https://goo.gl/J6zZgt. Let me know if this helps. If not, post again here and we'll figure out next steps. Lauren

Found those after I posted and they were of no help. Same issue persists. I don’t know if it’s of noting but my current internet gateway is not connected to the myq app but to my alarm.com account. If part of the process is removing the old gateway could that be causing my issue?

This could be the issue. Linking the MyQ and Alarm.com systems requires contacting Alarm.com. Do you want to try that? If it doesn't work, I'll have a customer support agent reach out to you. Lauren

I want to remove that integration. I want to ditch the alarm.com app and just use HomeKit.

Would you like some help from a tech support agent with that? Lauren
