cant add opener to account

Cant add opener to account or app. I have a working gateway and app for my double door. I wanted to add the single door to the app. The single door opener is 1/3 hp liftmaster, about 2-3 years old, purple button and wire. I installed a 888LM control panel., it works, and the remote works. However when I use the app or website to add a device, and click "add", it quickly tells me to make sure my LED is green, before I even get a chance to push the learn button on the control panel twice. Any ideas to try. I tried both app and website, same result.

Dear Al, 

I apologize that you are having a problem adding your second opener to your MyQ account. The error message that it sounds like you are getting, "Please make sure your device is connected and the Green LED is solid ON.", is indicating that there is no green light on your Internet Gateway. Can you confirm that you have a solid green light on the gateway?
