Can't Add Internet Gateway. Nothing happens when I put the serial number in.

The Internet Gateway is plugged in correctly, and the green light is lit solid. All devices are connected to the same WiFi router as the one it is plugged in. The iPhone is a 6+ and is running iOS 9.3.1.

In the MyQapp, I select Add Device to Home > Garage Door Opener > Yes to Wifi. I enter the MyQ serial number as it says on the bottom of the gateway, and hit submit. It then says "Adding...." with the spinning circle for about a minute, and then it simply goes away. It does not advance from the Enter MyQ serial number screen. Nothing else happens. No new menu, no error message. When I try to press submit again, nothing happens, almost as if it is not pressable. I can re-enter the menu and then it becomes pressable again, but still nothing happens from there.

I then try it on both iOS Safari, and OS X Safari. I follow the method mentioned above. Only this time, when I submit the serial number, it goes through and proceeds to ask to enter the name for the place where it is located. I put Home and click submit. It then goes back to showing the name of the Place, and the Devices below it. The devices field is blank! I pressed Save and Close anyway. I am then back to dashboard home screen with the big plus, as if a device was never added to the account before. Nothing had happened, it never added the device.

I am nothing but confused right now. Any help would be appreciated!

This may seem odd but choose "No" when asked if you have a Wi-Fi garage door opener and add your MyQ opener.

Yup, I was doing it wrong the entire time. My opener didn't actually have the WiFi symbol, but I assumed the MyQ logo on the bottom counted as one. I hit "no" and followed the learn instructions and it worked out fine. I didn't actually need to put in the gateway key.

I am stunned. Not only did the system locate similar questions, Steve actually provided the exact answer I needed. Problem solved.
