I just moved into a new house and my chamberlain MYQ gateway serial has already been registered on the previous owners account.  Is there any way I can get it reset for my account?

Jeremy,

In order to reset the Internet Gateway and ‘erase’ any previous owner’s information a hard reset must be performed on the Gateway. Please see instructions below:

How to do a hard reset

Wi-Fi Hub

  • Press and hold the settings button (gear) on the Wi-Fi hub until the blue LED blinks.
  • While the blue LED is blinking, press and hold the settings button (gear) again until the blue LED pauses then blinks or beeps.
  • The Wi-Fi hub is set to factory default. Reconnect to Wi-Fi to clear serial number.

Internet Gateway

  1. Remove power from the gateway.
  2. With a paper clip or safety pin, hold the reset button down (small hole on side of the gateway).
  3. While holding the reset button, reconnect power to the gateway.
  4. The blue and green LED will flash. Continue holding the reset button.
  5. When the yellow LED starts blinking, release the reset button.
  6. The blue and green LED will flash and the blue LED will turn off.
Once the green LED is on solid, log in to the account and register the gateway

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best,
Chuck
