Brand New 888LM Not Working, Buzzing

Got a brand new 888LM wall control and 828LM internet gateway today. Upon connecting per instructions, wall control buzzes constantly. Does not work at all, but red learn led and yellow 10m led are dimly lit. Upon disconnecting, it slowly beeps until the capacitors go dead, about 30s-1m if pushing the buttons. I've read through other posts and have seen similar but not identical symptoms. Please advise.
