Apple Homekit Support vs. Google Assistant

I received my new MyQ Home Bridge and connected a few MyQ lights and doors to the bridge. Then connected the bridge to HomeKit app on my ipad. I was  able to turn the lights on/off within the app, as well as with Siri. ALL FOR FREE!!!

Am I correct that I am unable to do this with Google Assistant/Google Home?

Is it true that the only thing I can do with Google Assistant/Google Home is check the status and close only my doors?

Is it also true that if I want this very limited functionality, I have to PAY for a subscription, while my ipad can do everything for FREE?

These things cannot be true?

Terrible analogy. If it was the norm for automakers to supply free gas, but then one suddenly decided to start charging for it, people would rightfully not be happy about it. In fact many would probably choose a manufacturer that stuck to market norms and supplied free gas. The rub for some is that they already bought the car, but didn’t find out they had to pay for gas until afterwards.

It's painfully clear that your intellect leaves you with nothing of substance to further add to the argument...

It's painfully clear that you live life trying to freeload off of others.
