App works great, but vulnerable to hacks

Just opened my garage accidentally from the website, simply by clicking on the garage door icon.  There wasn't a double check confirmation such as, "Are you sure you want to open the door?".  I live in a very urban area with many pedestrians near my garage, so I was forced to run downstairs to close the garage and make sure no one entered.

It also reminds me of how easy it would be for a hacker to get into your site, which has your home address associated with the account, and voila they can open the garage door.  There is certainly convenience which I like with the smartphone app and website, but I'd like to hear what others have done and experienced.  I only installed 6 hours ago so would appreciate any feedback.

John - I understand why you might worry about these things. We do have some options for you to add security to your MyQ account. Within our security settings, you have the ability to have the app request your username and password to activate the opener, as well as access your account information (address). If you don't want to have to type in your whole username and password, you can set up a 4 digit passcode instead. I have included some information in the links below.
