App will not close door if sensor beam has been interrupted by car exiting garage

Starting a new post because I can't find a recent answer to my issue. I can raise the garage door every time, but when I back out the car, the garage door will not close. I get a "No response - garage door opener is not responding. Please try again" error. The car is temporarily breaking the sensor beam when I back out (obviously) and that's when I get this error. If I wait a couple of minutes after I back out, then the app will close the door with no error (but it is faster to get out of the car and close the door manually....which defeats the purpose of the MyQ system). . I can also raise and close the door 100% of the time if I never break the beam. Please help- is is my last ditch effort before I bypass the sensors.

Mark,

I’m sorry the garage door will not close from the MyQ app after driving out of your garage. To better assist you, can you please provide us with the model number of your garage door opener and let me know if you have a MyQ Control Panel attached to the garage door opener?

For safety reasons, we strongly suggest you do not bypass your safety sensors.

Hey Richelle! Please see post below. Wondering if there are any other reports of this issue. Thanks!

I have the exact same problem. 100% speedy response on the open command...Pull the car out of the garage and get the "spinning circle" until it eventually times out (usually a minute or so later). Hit it again after the timeout & it instantly starts the closing process (beeping, blinking light, etc). I am using the MyQ control panel wired directly to the opener. Issue is 100% consistent...it never works on the first try after interrupting the signal beam. Hope there's a fix soon :-)
