In case folks missed it, Chamberlain created a new business unit for video/security/automation stuff a month or so ago. (they also purchased TEND as the first member of this new business, which does facial recognition devices). Perhaps part of this new business unit will add some life to their smart home efforts, and perhaps create a coherent smart home strategy, the apps, and hardware, etc.
