888LM dead

888LM dead, customer service won’t help. They told me I’d just have to buy another one! How are people getting theirs replaced? It died and left my garage open all day while I was away.

All of them. I called them when mine failed and the garage door started going up and down on its own. They had several years worth of production that have defective parts or poor quality parts. They would last about five years and then you would have problems. Actually surprised some child has not been killed when the door comes down on them. Chamberlain should be ashamed that they have not had a recall on this garbage and replaced the controllers for free. I actually bought a replacement, then found out about the issue, and they said if you would have contacted us, we would have replaced it. Guess that was a lie since they did not offer to replace yours.

What kind of opener do you have? I have an 8500 and it went out on that, contacted them and they sent a new one

same. Using it with a 8500. They said my 888lm is old from 2013 so they won’t replace. I bought it in 14/15

What???? I thought they have a 5 year parts warranty. Try getting someone new on chamberlain/LiftMaster support. If that doesn’t work, I guess you’ll just have to buy one

I thought so too. Both times I called, they said 1 year warranty on the controller, but they’d cover up to two, but since mine showed 2013 model they couldn’t assist
