"Unfortunately, Chamberlain has stopped" message

my Chamberlain opener with myQ has been working flawlessly for several months.  This morning I attempted to open the app to check the status of the garage door since I am 1000 miles (literally) from home.  The app did not open, instead I was greeted with the message "Unfortunately, Chamberlain has stopped".  I closed and uninstalled the app.  Reinstalled it, attempted to log in....same message.  I called my wife who is several hundred miles from home and had her check her phone; she had the same message.  I called a neighbor and had him go to the house and function the door.  The door was closed when he got there.  He ran it up and down a few times without issue.  The app on our phones is still not operating.  

My brother has myQ as well his is working just fine.

Any ideas? 

I read an old thread where some people experienced the same problem when their android phones updated 8 months ago.  Our Verizon Kyocera phones all updated just a couple of days ago.  That's probably when the app quit.  Our phones are on Android 6.0.1.  

Is anyone else having problems with Android 6.0.1?

Yes, I am. I just checked at 8:35 PM EDT, 8/15/17.

Lauren: Nevermind! I've been reloading the app everyday since It quit without success. I had not reloaded the software yet today because I was traveling. I just reloaded it and it appears to be working!
